Inner voice
muted by biography,
distorted by decades
of denying surrender,
lives in nanoseconds
of awareness, moments
of magic when life's
onion peels back
revealing pristine prison
with unlocked doors
and carpeted cells
equipped with
Jacuzzi and bidet.
Thanks, I love this blog!

ReplyDeleteJudy, We are doing poet interviews on Bekah Steimel's website bekahsteimel.com/blog in 2018. Your poetry came to my attention when you and Bekah were both recently published on Fourth & Sycamore. If you are interested in being interviewed, please email me at shannonsteimel@gmail.com
